Bridgestone’s involvement in the FIM EWC is part of its ongoing support of various domestic and overseas motorsports, ranging from top-level professional race series to grassroots amateur races, to further enhance and support motorsport culture. Since 2017, Bridgestone has supported teams participating in the full EWC series with the supply of Bridgestone racing tyres, which provide high grip, durability and comfort handling. 2024’s championship victory for Bridgestone-backed Yoshimura SERT Motul marked the fourth consecutive year and the fifth time that a Bridgestone-equipped team had won the EWC. In 2025, Bridgestone will be the sole tyre supplier for five of the most ambitious teams:

• F.C.C. TSR Honda France: This team became the first from Japan to win the FIM Endurance World Championship in 2017-2018. For the 2025 season, their rider lineup includes Alan Techer, a former EWC champion; Corentin Perolari, known for his speed in Supersport racing; and Taiga Hada, a promising talent from Japan.
• YART YAMAHA Official EWC Team: Based in Austria, YART has been a strong contender in endurance racing, consistently challenging for podiums and victories. Their 2025 lineup features Marvin Fritz and Karel Hanika, both experienced endurance racers, and Jason O’Halloran, a new addition bringing expertise from the British Superbike Championship.
• Yoshimura SERT Motul: This Franco-Japanese collaboration between Yoshimura and Suzuki Endurance Racing Team (SERT) has a rich history, with multiple championship titles, including the 2024 season. In 2025, they continue with riders Gregg Black, Étienne Masson, and Dan Linfoot, who contributed to their recent successes, with Cocoro Atsumi as the reserve rider.
• BMW MOTORRAD WORLD ENDURANCE TEAM: Competing since 2019, this team has rapidly become a formidable force in the championship. For 2025, their roster includes long-standing member Markus Reiterberger, former Superbike World Champion Sylvain Guintoli, South African endurance specialist Steven Odendaal, and Estonian rider Hannes Soomer.
• Kawasaki Webike Trickstar: This Japanese team has been active in the endurance scene, often showcasing strong performances in the Asia Road Racing Championship and the Suzuka 8 Hours. Their 2025 lineup comprises Christian Gamarino, experienced endurance racer Mike Di Meglio, Gregory Leblanc, known for multiple Bol d’Or victories, and Roman Ramos, a seasoned competitor in various motorcycle racing disciplines.

Bridgestone Corporation (Bridgestone) today announced that it will supply BATTLAX HYPERSPORT S23 tyres as original equipment for the new sport tourer, Ninja 1100SX released by Kawasaki Motors, Ltd.

The new model “Ninja 1100SX” enhances the power feeling of sport riding through an increased engine displacement, seeking to provide even more enjoyment in various scenarios from city riding to long-distance touring. In addition to the Ninja’s characteristic riding performance and aggressive styling, it features a KQS (Kawasaki Quick Shifter), a USB Type-C power socket, and a smartphone connectivity function, thereby improving both riding performance and functionality.*1

Through long-term tyre co-creation development with Kawasaki Motors, Bridgestone continues to support the company by delivering value in its wide range of motorcycles. The latest addition to Bridgestone’s portfolio is a hassle-free tyre solution, allowing drivers to maintain control of their vehicles and safely traveling for 80km at up to 80km/h after a puncture¹.

According to TÜV SÜD, one of Europe’s most respected independent automotive testing institutes, the new EV-ready Bridgestone tyre offers best-in-class wet braking and excellent braking performance in dry and snowy conditions.² Exceptional snow performance, with strong capabilities in snow traction, braking, cornering and handling has also been confirmed by TÜV SÜD.³ In addition, the tyre also provides 20 percent better mileage than its predecessor⁴, for cost efficiency and reduced environmental impact.

The integration of Bridgestone’s ENLITEN Technology provides maximum safety and outstanding performance for drivers, while improving the sustainability characteristics of the tyre and making it fully EV-ready. The new Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 ENLITEN with DriveGuard RFT meets both the general performance demands of any vehicle and the specific requirements of EVs.

Developed and manufactured in Europe, the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 ENLITEN with DriveGuard RFT will be available in 20 top selling sizes from 16 to 19 inches. Beginning in September 2024, 18 sizes will be available and the remaining two sizes will be released in January 2025.

The Bridgestone tyre specifically developed for the new Maserati Grecale Folgore delivers very low rolling resistance performance – achieving a best-in-class EU Label A-grade – to extend the Maserati Grecale Folgore’s 500km range.¹

The Firestone Roadhawk 2 ENLITEN offers best-in-class wet grip that was awarded the EU label A-grade, alongside 20 percent longer mileage than the original Firestone Roadhawk.² This is combined with a 12 percent rolling resistance reduction to optimise vehicle fuel/energy consumption.²

Thanks to the use of ENLITEN in the latest release from Firestone – which was developed at Bridgestone’s Rome-based R&D Centre – the tyre is EV-ready. This means it is capable of meeting both the general performance demands of any vehicle and the specific requirements of electric vehicles.

Increased coverage, representing 90% of the MID summer market

The latest tyre from Firestone is available from January 2024 in Europe and the Middle East in sizes from 17” to 21”. With 19 additional sizes than the original Roadhawk, the Firestone Roadhawk 2 ENLITEN launches with an increased focus on the HRD/HRD+ segment, and covers 90 percent of the total MID summer market. 16” sizes will be available from January 2025, taking the total available sizes to 112.

Elastrak, the dealer of Bridgestone tyres in Greece, recently presented its new range of tyres to its partners in Athens and Thessaloniki, with plenty of imagination and laughter! The premium touring tyre Turanza 6, the ideal for all seasons Turanza All Season 6 & the legendary All Terrain Dueler AT002 for on- and off-road performance were the undisputed stars, but this time they were not alone!

The popular stand-up comedian Alexandros Tsouvelas and the famous Magician Tristan, who with hilarious jokes and original magic tricks, added a different dimension to the presentation, winning the smiles and impressions of the audience, were also actively involved.

The owner of the yacht Theolina trusted Eltrak to rebuild his boat’s power, upgrading both the main engines and generators to make it modern, eco-friendly and quiet.

With 32 years of experience in mining and construction, Mr. Kyriakidis entrusted a beastly Cat Used 140M from the Eltrak fleet, starting with the construction of a new state-of-the-art aged care facility in the local community of Drama.

It would be remiss not to mention the effort we made together, customers and company, to stand by the people affected by the recent floods in Thessaly. Many of our partners rushed to help by leaving other obligations and sending machines and operators to the affected areas. Eltrak also made similar moves, as for example with the free provision of a generator to the hosting structure at the stadium of the Municipality of Palamas Karditsa.

And while we are constantly upgrading our products and services, we are not neglecting our corporate “ecosystem”. The recent team building events where we laughed and had fun playing Paintball in Athens and Thessaloniki is one of the first moves the company makes in response to the suggestions of the employees, after conducting an Employee Opinion Survey.

Growth as Eltrak’s constant goal

In addition, we are proceeding with renovations and upgrades of our facilities with safety, optimal efficiency and the well-being of our people in mind. It started from our central facilities in Kifissia. We renovated the second floor creating a single space that unites the Administration and the Sales Departments.

And when the forest is destroyed, not only an enormous wealth is destroyed, but also the very life of man, the air he breathes, the beauty he sees, the peace and balance of his life. The M.A.K.I.P. team is recognized in the voluntary system of civil protection and is active primarily in the field of fire safety (prevention and suppression). Its role is auxiliary to that of the Fire Brigade, which also has overall responsibility, however several times throughout these last years it has proven to be on the front line.

Sensitive to the work of volunteers, Elastrak recognized the needs of MAKIP and offered free of charge four new tyres for the fire truck of the volunteer team, so that the fight for the protection of the environment and our fellow human beings can continue. In the hope that this struggle will not be barren and will have a happy ending.

According to tests carried out by independent TÜV SÜD, the new Bridgestone Duravis Van tyre offers best-in-class mileage1 for extended tyre life as well as best-in-class dry and wet braking performances2. We have reduced the maintenance time of security systems by 75%. We can focus on our work as all our security concerns are addressed with Microsoft tools.

The new working data with the new requirements for security at Eltrak group, led us to realize that our security tools, which came from different vendors, could no longer handle our new way of working. Incidents that compromised security were occurring more and more frequently. We wanted to simplify our security environment, eliminate vendor complexity, and reduce threats through improved automation and artificial intelligence. We also needed reliable solutions for remote user management in multiple countries.

So Eltrak looked for appropriate security measures that would allow it to keep all of the group’s cloud-based operations secure and flexible. Microsoft Security provided the answer. Microsoft’s cloud tools offer many benefits. We don’t need to invest internally in infrastructure, we operate efficiently with state-of-the-art technology and tools are always available and accessible from anywhere.

Our main goal was to reduce the complexity of our security systems to have a one-stop shop for all our needs. And we did it! In fact, we intend to further expand our use of SharePoint and OneDrive to see what other opportunities arise in the future.

Bridgestone has once again been chosen by Lamborghini as its exclusive tyre partner for the new Revuelto, Lamborghini’s first-ever super sports V12 HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle). Bridgestone developed bespoke Potenza Sport high-performance tyres for the Lamborghini Revuelto, which features three electric motors powering the front wheels, and a V12 internal combustion engine powering the rear wheels.

Available in 20, 21 and 22 inches, Bridgestone Potenza Sport tyres were designed to enhance the Lamborghini Revuelto’s sporty and high-performance capabilities. The design and materials help to deliver outstanding performance at high speeds, excellent steering responses and precision that’s ideally suited to the Lamborghini Revuelto’s ultimate performance DNA, along with outstanding grip on dry and wet surfaces.

The Bridgestone Potenza Sport tyres specifically developed for the Lamborghini Revuelto are also available with Run Flat Technology (RFT). This enables drivers to continue driving safely even after a puncture – for 80km at 80kph with 0-bar pressure, giving drivers additional peace of mind.

This sustainable approach enables a digital version of an in-development tyre to be created and tested virtually before building prototypes, leading to savings in raw materials and CO2 emissions during development.

The premium high-performance Potenza Sport tyres specifically developed for the Lamborghini Revuelto are available as mixed fitment with 265/35 ZRF20 on the front axle and 345/30 ZRF21 on the rear axle, as well as with 265/30 ZRF21 on the front and 355/25 ZRF22 on the rear, both featuring Run-flat Technology. On top, a performance combination has been designed as well, which features on front axle 265/35 ZR20 and on rear axle 345/30 ZR21 Potenza Sport (tubeless version). Bridgestone’s Blizzak LM005 tyres are available as an aftersales winter option in multiple fitments, including 265/35 R20 and 265/30 R21 for the front wheels, with 345/30 R21 and 355/25 R221 for the rear.

Bridgestone, a global leader in tyres and sustainable mobility solutions, announced the launch of its new flagship summer touring tyre – the Bridgestone Turanza 6. The premium tyre offers best-in-class wet performance[1] to help keep drivers safe on the road, while also providing enhanced sustainability through superior mileage^[2] and improved fuel/energy efficiency^[2]. The new Bridgestone Turanza 6 gives drivers control and confidence in stressful and unforeseen conditions, including on a rainy day.

According to tests carried out by independent TÜV SÜD, the Bridgestone Turanza 6 outperforms its competitors in the segment with best-in-class wet performance^[1]. This includes being the best in cornering manoeuvres and outstanding straight-line performance. The Bridgestone Turanza 6 also achieves best-in-class EU label A-grade in wet grip for the full line-up.

Extensive consumer research performed by Bridgestone into the needs and expectations of drivers demonstrated that 86% of drivers listed ‘wet performance’ as one of the most important aspects when purchasing a tyre, and rain and wet conditions have been identified as a key challenge they encounter on the road^[3]. With its best-in-class wet performance^[1], the Bridgestone Turanza 6 answers drivers’ expectations and helps to keep them safe on the road even in challenging wet weather conditions – supporting Bridgestone’s long-term commitment to road safety.

Sustainable performance enabled by cutting-edge tyre technologies
Safety isn’t the only performance area of the new Bridgestone Turanza 6. Bridgestone’s latest flagship tyre also delivers superior mileage, with a 22% improvement[2] when compared to its predecessor, the Turanza T005, which remains a test-winning product. The Bridgestone Turanza 6 also provides improved fuel efficiency or extended battery range (depending on vehicle type), delivering a reduction of 4% in rolling resistance versus its predecessor[2] and offering best-in-class EU label A-grade in rolling resistance in selected sizes[4]. This is supported by the introduction of an aerodynamic rimguard, which is designed to reduce the resistance of air on the tyre while driving.

The Bridgestone Turanza 6 is the result of many pioneering technologies, with various ground-breaking innovations in tread pattern, compound and construction that amplify its performance capabilities. These include the cutting-edge and sustainable TECHSYN and ENLITEN – a set of technologies providing best-in-class tyre performance with a step change towards sustainability compared with previous generations, which are both featured for the first time ever on a Bridgestone replacement tyre.

As a sustainable solutions company, Bridgestone is constantly evolving its R&D process to become more efficient and sustainable. For example, the new Bridgestone Turanza 6 was developed using Bridgestone’s ground-breaking Virtual Tyre Development technology. This enables a digital version of an in-development tyre to be created and tested, helping Bridgestone to predict how a tyre will perform in different conditions before physically building prototypes. In the development phase, this sustainable approach leads to a saving of 21% of raw materials and CO2 emissions, while cutting 60,000 kilometres and 7.7 tonnes of CO2 from outdoor testing^[5].

Engineered to be EV-ready
Thanks to the use of the latest technologies such as the ENLITEN Technology, the new Bridgestone Turanza 6 is also perfectly suited to hybrid and electric vehicles, helping to optimise their performance. This includes low rolling resistance to save battery life and address range anxiety concerns, excellent control to address EV-specific driving-related issues, higher wear tolerance to combat tyre wear due to the increased weight and higher torque, and decreased noise for driver comfort owing to the near non-existent engine noise of EVs. The Bridgestone Turanza 6 delivers a reduction of 2db in pass-by noise versus its predecessor^[6].

Sustainable solutions for a sustainable future

Judges for the test summarised “almost perfect handling characteristics, a performance that is close to the level of a slick tyre, precise steering, the ability to generate high levels of lateral forces, wide limits and endurance” as the reasons for the Potenza Race’s first-place finish.[i]

During the test, the judges were particularly impressed by the performance on offer from the Bridgestone Potenza Race, pointing out that the extremely high levels of grip were almost comparable to full slick levels, with the precise steering characteristics another big positive for Bridgestone’s new semi-slick tyre.

Judges also called out the braking performance of the Bridgestone Potenza Race, pointing out that it provides excellent deceleration, capable of stopping “significantly earlier than the road tyres”. Summing up the test, Auto Bild Sportscars’ Guido Naumann added: “The dry performance of the Potenza Race is phenomenal – grip, steering precision – everything very close to one real racing slick.”

The winning result follows on from the Bridgestone Potenza Race’s earlier success in independent tests carried out by TÜV SÜD, where the new semi-slick tyre delivered the fastest lap time[ii] and the best braking in the dry[iii] – all ahead of its main competitors on the track, as well as outstanding track longevity[iv].

Created for track enthusiasts looking to perform and push their limits, the all-new Potenza Race is the latest addition to Bridgestone’s iconic ultra-high performance Potenza line-up. It is a semi-slick tyre homologated for public roads, but with performance-focused on track days.

The Potenza Race is the latest addition to Bridgestone’s iconic Potenza tyre range – itself born from Bridgestone’s long association with Formula One racing – empowering motorsports enthusiasts to remain in control at speed. Benefitting from this heritage and the expertise gained during the development of Potenza Race OE fitments for the high-performance Lamborghini Huracán STO and SEAT Leon Cupra hot hatchback, along with the Huracán STO Tecnica supercar launched recently, the Potenza Race is Bridgestone’s first-ever dedicated replacement tyre for track days.

Engineered for track days and circuit use

Leaning on Bridgestone’s vast experience in high performance tyres, the new Potenza Race completes Bridgestone’s ultra-high performance tyre line-up, providing a track-focussed tyre ideal for driving enthusiasts.

According to tests carried out by independent TÜV SÜD, the Bridgestone Potenza Race posts the best lap times ahead of its main competitors on the track[1]. The Bridgestone Potenza Race tyre also offers the shortest braking distance on a dry surface, once again beating main competitor tyres[2].

The Bridgestone Potenza Race tyre has also been engineered to provide outstanding longevity[3]. All of this makes it a great choice for drivers willing to perform and push their limits on track.

High performance enabled by tread pattern, construction and compound

The Bridgestone Potenza Race’s advanced performance is enabled by a collection of new technologies in its tread pattern, construction and compound.

The tread design applies an asymmetric pattern, with differentiation between the outside and inside of the tyre to maximise cornering power and braking potential while still guaranteeing suitable usage on wet roads.

Asymmetric wall angles on the Potenza Race tyre further increase lateral stiffness and reduce block deformation, and a special rear tread pattern with an increased shoulder rib provides maximum dry performance with optimised braking and block stiffness.

To achieve its outstanding track performances, the Potenza Race also incorporates a sporty profile shape, helping to increase the contact area and maximise braking potential. An optimised contact patch helps to improve steering feel and controllability, increasing driver confidence.

The Bridgestone Potenza Race also benefits from a new compound, with innovative mixing to improve chemical reaction control, balancing the reinforcing mechanism and rolling resistance. The result is an optimised formula for enhanced dry performance, with high stiffness that boosts dry cornering and straight-line stability.

‘Completing the range for track lovers’

The new Potenza Race has been developed using Bridgestone’s ground-breaking Virtual Tyre Development technology. This enables a digital version of an in-development tyre to be created and tested, helping Bridgestone to predict how a tyre will perform in different conditions before physically building prototypes. As a result, Bridgestone can test far more variants in a virtual world, which cuts tyre development time by up to 50% and delivers a host of environmental benefits including a reduction in raw material consumption due to the need for fewer prototype tyres and tests.

The Potenza Sport fitment for the Maserati Grecale Trofeo includes an asymmetric tread design with continuous center ribs that are flanked by a large external shoulder. A stiffer carcass design and reinforced tyre crown structure helps to distribute pressure and maintain grip during hard cornering and braking, without compromising on comfort. The precise steering and outstanding high-speed capability provide the ideal match for the 500bhp (530 hp) V6 engine, all-wheel drive and dual-clutch transmission.

Bridgestone has also developed a new tread compound and pattern for the Grecale mild-hybrid versions of the new Maserati’s D-UV. The Bridgestone Potenza Sport tyres have been specifically designed to meet a challenging balance that includes dry handling, comfort and low rolling resistance, with a tailor-made tread pattern featuring optimized rib and void distribution, coupled with a new crown construction that helps to deliver outstanding steering precision, cornering stiffness and comfort. The MHEV’s Potenza Sport’s tailor-made carcass construction has been designed to counteract the additional vehicle load of the hybrid powertrain, providing optimal performance under cornering, acceleration and braking.

The Maserati Grecale Trofeo and Grecale MHEV versions, with bespoke Bridgestone Potenza Sport tyres, are now available on the European market.

Bridgestone, a global leader in tyres and rubber providing solutions for safe and sustainable mobility, is today announcing the launch of its newest motocross tyre, the Bridgestone Battlecross X31. Developed and engineered using the latest Bridgestone technologies, the tyre increases speed and provides riders with amazing traction and grip performance, as well as increased stability and working range.

The new Bridgestone Battlecross X31 applies Bridgestone’s Castle Block Technology on the shoulder blocks of the front tyre and all the blocks on the rear tyre, which through a convex section in its block, enhances the traction power thanks to an extra edge effect. The Castle Block Technology also increases contact pressure and gives a secure contact feel on slippery underground, improves grip and consistency on changing surfaces, and the additional edge effect provides higher cornering grip and traction on different types of terrain.

A new pattern design, with an asymmetric block pattern for the rear, also improves the Bridgestone Battlecross X31’s traction performance, together with a lower block ratio for increased working range. The redefined bunker groove size and positioning increase contact touch, enhance the tyre’s bite feel when bottoming through surfaces, enhance grip and traction performance, and create lower tread rigidity for optimal stability. This is all combined with the addition of a cooling fin on the Bridgestone Battlecross X31’s sidewall, which creates air turbulence through the sidewall protrusions, enhances the cooling effect on the tyre surface, leads to less degradation and gives the tyre a consistent performance throughout its life.

Bridgestone’s latest motocross tyre will be available in six sizes and will be on the market in the first quarter of 2022.

Bridgestone, a global leader in tyres and rubber providing solutions for safe and sustainable mobility, is today announcing the launch of its latest on-road adventure tyre for the motorcycle market, the Bridgestone Battlax Adventure Trail AT41. The rugged, off-road looking tyre provides great dry performance and incredible traction, grip and braking in the wet to ensure a safe and comfortable journey in all weather conditions.

The Bridgestone Battlax Adventure Trail AT41’s new off-road looking pattern has an optimised groove design to improve water drainage and contribute to the tyre’s impressive wet weather performance, thanks to increased average groove volumes and a more consistent groove ratio in the contact areas. The new block shape of the tyre reduces partial wear on its shoulder, while an optimal belt construction with the new pattern gives great stability. The Bridgestone Battlax Adventure Trail AT41’s touring compound – with 3LC used on the rear – also enables its excellent performance in the wet, dry and in terms of the tyre’s mileage.

Bridgestone’s latest on-road adventure tyre will be available from February 2022 in nine sizes (4 front and 5 rear), all with M+S marking. With this line-up, the Battlax Adventure Trail AT41 covers most of the motorcycles in the Adventure segment.

Bridgestone has been chosen by Ferrari as a tyre supplier for the Italian manufacturer’s latest GT car, the Ferrari Roma. With 620bhp and rear-wheel drive, Ferrari needed a tyre that suited the Roma’s performance in both the dry and wet. A collaboration with Bridgestone has seen the ground-breaking Bridgestone Potenza Sport evolved to match the Ferrari Roma’s unique requirements.

Developed to deliver high-end performance

The Bridgestone Potenza Sport, which delivers best-in-class performance in the dry alongside outstanding wet weather grip , was custom-developed by Bridgestone to optimise lateral and longitudinal grip and wet and hydroplaning performance.

In order to achieve such challenging targets, Bridgestone developed a dedicated top tread compound and rear tyre pattern geometry-void distribution to retain the outstanding wet weather performance of the Bridgestone Potenza Sport, while retaining the tyre’s dry handling capabilities.

Dedicated development ensured that Bridgestone Potenza Sport provides the dynamic performance characteristics required. This included tuning the tread pattern design on the rear tyres for optimal wet-weather performance.

‘A fantastic case study for collaboration’

Bridgestone’s custom-engineered Potenza Sport is now available on the Ferrari Roma in 245/35ZR20 91Y and 285/35ZR20 (100Y) sizes. The tyre was developed and produced at Bridgestone’s EMIA Technology and Innovation Centre in Rome, Italy. The Rome plant is dedicated to the production of high technology, highly specialised tyres, enabling direct connection between the development team and production. The factory typically manufactures Bridgestone EMIA’s prototype tyres, but the Ferrari Roma project has seen it produce for the first time OE tyres that will be directly fitted on the Roma as it takes to the roads.

Bridgestone, a global leader in tyres and rubber providing solutions for safe and sustainable mobility, and EVBox, a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, are today announcing a new, long-term partnership to expand Europe’s charging infrastructure with the installation of up to 3,500 new charging ports across Bridgestone’s European retail and service network, which includes leading brands such as Speedy and First Stop. The five-year project, which is the latest in Bridgestone’s support for the adoption of EVs as part of its commitment to help shape a sustainable future of mobility, will begin in France and Italy and expand into the UK, Germany, Poland, Spain and other European countries.

Bridgestone’s new charging network will consist of both normal and fast charging stations installed in strategic locations and will be accessible to all EV drivers, both private and fleet vehicles; fast charging ports will be installed on high-demand routes for people in transit to quickly charge. The partnership will be facilitated through EVBox’s partner TSG — taking care of the contracting and installation of the charging stations.

Thanks to the partnership between Bridgestone and EVBox, EV drivers and fleets will get access to one of Europe’s largest charging networks, comprised of a public charging network of over 130,000 ports, and the 3,500 new charging ports through one single solution: a dedicated card or mobile app, facilitated through EVBox’s Charging Management Software.

Giving access to all these charging sessions across Europe, the app (or card) offers extra convenience and efficiency to its users through one centralized platform for payments and invoicing, providing data on recharging habits and will enable its users to travel from Sevilla to Helsinki using the same unique solution.

Through the EVBox partnership, Bridgestone’s retail network will also be offering EV drivers the opportunity to buy and install at-home EV charging stations, strengthening the company’s commitment to improving the accessibility of EVs as a more sustainable mobility choice.

Investing to support Europe’s adoption of electric mobility

Bridgestone sees EVs as a huge opportunity to achieve its carbon-neutral ambition by 2050 and make mobility more environmentally sustainable, particularly with 20 percent of new car sales in Europe in 2025 expected to be EVs1.

Yet there are still many barriers to overcome before a fully electric future can be realized: Bridgestone’s annual research on EV take-up across Europe found that, for the respondents who are not considering acquiring an EV, 50 percent cited insufficient charging infrastructure as the reason why2. This challenge is being addressed by the EU ‘Fit for 55’ package, which is requiring the Member States to expand charging capacity in line with the expected zero-emission car sales and to install charging and fuelling points at regular intervals on major highways3.

As part of its commitment to help shape a sustainable future of mobility, Bridgestone is transforming its business to support the adoption of EVs. Through a fully integrated approach, Bridgestone is investing to develop premium tyres and tyres technologies for EVs as well as dedicated fleet and mobility solutions. Bridgestone’s ultra-high performance tyre, Potenza Sport, proved to have the shortest braking distance in the dry of all profiles and was deemed to be in the test’s top two performers for dry handling. In the wet, Bridgestone Potenza Sport again had the shortest braking distance, and was awarded overall best in wet handling and best wet weather performance on a circular track. The flagship sports tyre was also awarded a strong aquaplaning performance to contribute to what AutoBild sportscars described as “a completely new benchmark” for wet handling.

AutoBild sportscars’ 2021 sports tyre test was the tyre’s first test conducted by an independent car magazine, but not its first accolade. TÜV SÜD, one of Europe’s most respected independent automotive testing institutes, awarded Bridgestone Potenza Sport the best performance in both dry braking and cornering and straight line stability versus competitors in the premium segment upon the tyre’s launch.1 TÜV SÜD also deemed Bridgestone Potenza Sport, which has an EU label A-grade in wet grip across its full line-up, best performer in wet cornering and handling.1

Bridgestone has developed a tailor-made Potenza tyre for the Huracán STO. The company engineered a high-performance tyre capable of maximising the Huracán STO’s traction, handling, control, and extreme overall performance.

The perfect fusion of technology and design

Bridgestone’s Potenza tyres specifically developed for Lamborghini’s Huracán STO supercar are the result of a new collaboration between two industry leaders. Like the Lamborghini Huracán STO, the custom-engineered Bridgestone Potenza tyres are the perfect fusion of technology and design.

Key to the tyre’s success in maximising the supersports car’s performance is the combination of pattern and cavity design and the use of the latest state of the art technologies. The Potenza tyres apply an asymmetric tread design for enhanced steering response and cornering stability, and an internal crown structure that distributes footprint pressure evenly when cornering. These features, combined with a newly developed tread compound that enhances grip, help to bring the Huracán STO’s track-level performance to road users.

A new project

Thanks to a strong collaboration with Lamborghini and its virtual development technology, Bridgestone carried out its tyre development process to achieve maximum results despite limitations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bridgestone’s capabilities in virtual tyre development proved crucial to its Potenza tyres achieving outstanding performance in the given timeframe, with the tyre manufacturer testing several combinations in its virtual environment and integrating tyre behaviour in the vehicle’s system to find the perfect match for Lamborghini in a virtual driving simulator. This resulted in a process that went from start to finish in a more efficient way and with a reduced environmental impact.

The Lamborghini Huracán STO will begin production beginning of 2021. As well as the road-focused, custom-developed Potenza fitment, Bridgestone will also be providing a track-oriented, road-homologated version of the tyre that applies “race” technologies to maximise the vehicle’s track performance, especially in dry conditions.

Caterpillar announces four new backhoe loader models based on the success of the Cat® F2 series backhoe loader. The new series consists of the Cat® 428, 432, 434 and 444 models, which replace the 428F2, 432F2, 434F2 and 444F2 machines respectively.

The new Cat backhoe loader range offers similar model platforms to ensure a common component base and similar functionalities across its entire range.

Cat’s new backhoe loaders now carry the new Cat logo combined with a new simplified nomenclature without having to apply the model’s alphanumeric suffix.

More efficiency

Cat’s new backhoe loaders are powered by Cat C3.6 engines with improved anti-pollution technology and are fully compliant with EU EU Stage V emission standards. maintenance required, particle retention filter DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) while using liquid DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid).

Reducing operating costs, the new Cat C3.6 engines, with up to 10% improved fuel efficiency compared to the F2 series engines, offer exactly the same performance characteristics (power – torque).

All new models have adjustable auxiliary hydraulic flow in the excavation system so that the hydraulic system of the machine can be adjusted according to the functional requirements of the working components.

The new Cat series can be equipped either factory-installed or with an on-site kit, with optional Integrated Tool (IT) loader quick connectors for quick tool changes. The new backhoe loaders are compatible with the outgoing F2 series components, so there is no need to buy new components, reducing operating costs. Offering remote data monitoring via VisionLink®, the latest Cat Product Link. Is available as standard on these new models to maximize machine uptime. Customers can customize the machine operating data collected, such as fuel usage, payload summaries, scheduled service reminders, and error code alerts, to meet specific needs for improved fleet management.

Improved features.
The new loading system cylinders, optionally available at 428 and 434, offer up to 25 percent more lifting capacity to improve operating efficiency. In the new excavator loaders 428 and 434, for the operation of the excavation system, Joystick-type controls can be selected, as an option. As a basic choice. In models 432 and 444, the joystick controls of the loading system and the excavation system are now mounted on the operator’s seat. This option gives particularly increased ergonomic capabilities to the operator, as it allows through the feature (Dual Mode), the operation of the loader or excavator to be performed with the operator turned at an angle, without the need to change the position of the machine or direction of the seat.

In addition, due to the adjustment of the position of the controls, more space inside the cabin is ensured, ensuring a more comfortable and ergonomic user interface with improved visibility. The new controls on the Cat backhoe loader seat are electrically operated, so no piping is advanced from inside the operator seat or inside the cab. This avoids the increase of the temperature of the operating environment as well as completely eliminates the risk of failure of the hydraulic piping that could lead to leaks inside the cabin. The redesigned console infotainment system (available as default) integrates analog machine counters with a color LCD information display, which is controlled via soft keys for easy menu navigation. Pop-up information icons offer fast navigation between modes, while full-text diagnostic descriptions simplify troubleshooting and machine maintenance.

For the first time in Cat backhoe loaders, an LCD touch screen is available as an option that allows the operator to interact with the machine to quickly change basic functions such as pattern control and hydraulic settings. The improved security of the new series shuts off the engine, gearbox, and hydraulics until a valid password is entered through the LCD operator control screen, preventing unauthorized access to the machine. The new 428, 432, 434 and 444 will set the new standard in the comfort and efficiency of backhoe loaders!

Designed to maximize stacking and order picking efficiency in very narrow aisles (VNA) and high racking, the Cat® NVT11-20(XL) range offers modular flexibility to fit each application perfectly. Model and specification choices

There are five core NVT models with capacities between 1.1 and 1.5 tonnes, while two more can be specially requested: one for unusually heavy loads (up to 2.0 tonnes) and one for exceptionally high lifts (up to 19 meters).

All trucks delivered are custom-built, starting with their dimensions. For optimum utilization of space, overall truck width can be specified at anything from 1.0 to 1.9 meters – in steps of 5 centimeters or less. A variety of masts and swiveling or telescopic forks can be chosen for different loads and racking arrangements.

Ergonomics, comfort, and safety

Cabin size and design can also be varied, along with control console style and layout, seating choice, and other factors important to operators. From their comfortable, secure working space, complete with carpeted walls and a thickly cushioned floor, users enjoy a clear all-round view and great freedom of movement. Easy and enjoyable to operate, the trucks give a strong sense of safety thanks largely to their high stability and mast rigidity.

High productivity, low running costs

While ergonomic, application-focused features help operators to work more efficiently, the NVT range is also engineered for faster, more powerful performance and lower energy consumption. Keys to this include FEM (finite element method) mast design, low total weight, and advanced AC drive technology.

High productivity combines energy savings and reduced maintenance costs to maximize profits. Each structure, system, and component is designed and specified to minimize wear, damage, and servicing requirements. For instance, the wear-resistant steering chain lasts longer; guide rollers and closed wheel arches protect load wheels, and rapid fault analysis cuts downtime.
