Eltrak Greece is seeking to hire a Systems-ERP Operator
Job Summary:
- The Systems-ERP Operator is responsible for the IBM Power System:
- Manage and run standard jobs,
- Respond to error messages and resolve underlying issues,
- Maintain systems and device health for high volume printers,
- Maintain systems and device health for tape drives,
- Perform and manage backups,
- Operate system side software,
- Support Users,
- Perform IPLs,
- Escalate issues & problems to Vendors in order to resolve issues,
- Contact vendors for maintenance,
- Run jobs for ERP (e.g., invoices, reports, updates ) and distribute output as necessary,
- Be engaged with Company phones (Voip & Mobiles)
- Decisions are made within the guidelines set by the System Admin and the
Essential Functions
- Monitoring and maintenance of the company's Host Systems & ERP infrastructure.
- Manage & troubleshooting employee ERP access across the organization.
- Be the first point of contact of the employees, when it comes to System Access and System related problems.
- Provide support including telephone coverage and troubleshooting at users’ desks when needed.
- Investigate System problems and trouble shoot activities and coordinate corrective action with the IT team.
- Maintain inventory of Mobiles and log of support calls in the companies help desk management system.
- Track and document diagnostic results.
- Any other task assigned by supervisor or management
Non-Essential Functions
- Maintain inventory of Assets.
- Assist in the ordering of hardware.
- Evaluate new versions of software and hardware
- Support special projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in Troubleshooting and technical experience related to O/S & ERP.
- Experience: 2+ years experience as a Systems/ERP Operator or Degree in Computer Science or other related field support role
- Must be able to run jobs from established run sheets and maintain those run sheets.
- Ability to work evenings weekends and holidays when necessary.
- Developing & maintaining technical documentation is a must in this position.
- Skills/Abilities: Strong User support skills; Good oral and written communication skills; Ability to work effectively on a team and harmoniously with staff, fellow employees and user community; Skill in troubleshooting, analysis and problem solving.
- Speak and write English fluently.
- Education/Certification: Associate degree in Computer Science or related field, OR 2+ years of relevant experience
Prior HMC and Console experience will be considered and asset.
Prior experience on IBMi systems will be considered an asset.
